The Paper Street Improv Scholarship is an annual scholarship that provides one young improviser with a year of professional improvisational training. The scholarship is available to any young improviser in Canada between the ages of 17 and 21. The recipient will be able to take any classes offered by Paper Street Theatre throughout the year, starting September 1st.
“I've been teaching high school students improv since I was a high school student. I think having access to improv when you're in those formative years is incredibly important. I started this scholarship to give graduating improvisers the opportunity to study improv seriously – an opportunity I wish I’d had. My goal is to show young performers that improv is an art-form, and support their development.” - Artistic Director Dave Morris
