Byron Kjeldsen is one of the original Paper Street cast members and has been improvising for 15 years, playing make-believe before that. He is especially drawn to the mime and clown aspects of improv. Together with Nicole Malcolm, they have created an improv duo format called Ants which combines narration and clown elements. They have performed it many times at improv events/festivals around town. Byron also creates art (painting, sculpture, digital, etc.) and builds props for the Paper Street shows. Him and his father are responsible for Paper Street wooden weapon arsenal. During the day he loves his kafkaesque cubicle dream job at an insurance company.
Chris is proud and privileged to be one of the Original Five members of Paper Street Theatre. He has also performed with Launch Pad Theatre and Atomic Vaudeville. Chris's favourite moments with Paper Street include when he got a huge laugh with a single word at the start of a show (A Fistful of Improv), the entirety of a late night show (Improv's For Closers), and the entire cast cracking up at the end of a show (A Murder on Paper Street).

Chaz first started his improv journey over half his life ago. From Middle School, to the Canadian Improv Games, to PaperStreet, Chaz has embraced the improv lifestyle with open arms. In his spare time, he coaches the Esquimalt’s Senior and Junior CIG teams. Chaz is very proud of all his students, and feels fortunate to be surrounded by so many amazing people. His favourite part of improv is supporting everyone on stage. Even if he doesn’t know where the scene is going, he knows we’ll discover it together.
Favourite quote: “You can’t spell improv, without love” - Dave Morris
Fresh out of Paper Street's masterclass (for the second time), Liz Colangelo can be seen playing all sorts of witty and no-so-witty (most likely) characters in Paper Street's improvised Jane Austen play, Yes and Yesteryear. When not laboriously reading Jane Austen novels and projecting her voice across the Emily Carr front yard, Liz may be spotted swing dancing the night away at local live band events. On rare nights of imbibing, she may be spotted playing ukulele loudly (and badly) in attempts to distract from her singing loudly (and badly).
Lauren has been a theatre kid for life but has studied at Paper Street since 2014. She’s so excited to perform with people that inspire her, while also having the great pleasure of introducing new faces to “yes, and” as a class teaching assistant - the improv circle of life!
Tony Adams (he/him, they/them) is a creator, performer, director, and improvisor. Along with Monica Ogden, Tony is one half of NickelPumpernickel, a duo committed to theatrical experience tethered to social justice, community building, and deconstructing popular (white) Canadian theatre. Tony is also the Co-Artistic Director of May Can Theatre and has developed 15 new works with them. Originally from Ottawa (Algonquin/Anishinaabe Territory) Tony is happy to be living in Victoria, located on the unceded territory of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.
Emma is a local lighting designer and technician and has been a part of Paper Street Theatre since 2013. They also works with Ballet Étoile, Broken Rhythms, and the Award Winning Puente Theatre. They have hung lights in every theatre in Victoria, and like hard work and good people.
Dan G is a musician, sound designer, and digital instrument developer based in Victoria BC. He writes and performs experimental electronic music as okpk, and is a member of Laggards.
Theodore is one of those people who does many things, people call him for reasons, and then things happen. In this instance Paper Street Theatre asked for a set design and construction, it will probably happen when there is a show. It will likely be acceptable, at the very least it will be fun for Theodore.
