Imagine your very own solo show! What would it be like? How would you stage it? What would it be about? Do you already have an idea or are you looking for one?
In this 4-hour workshop, Dave Morris will teach you the techniques and approaches he uses to build a solo show. Whether you want to tell stories (like his recent fringe hit, 52 Stories) or improvise (like his former pick of the fringe shows, “Photobooth” or “Improv Club”), this workshop will give you some new tools for creating a show!
The goal of this workshop is to leave you with a process for building your own solo show by igniting your creative ideas. You may not end up with a fully completed show at the end, but you’ll have a structure (or multiple) some scene ideas, and the inspiration to keep on building!
Come make a show!

Long-form improv isn’t just about good scene work —it’s about how we connect scenes together, how we reincorporate themes and ideas, and of course, how we tell stories over a longer period of time.
Join Chaz Booty for a Long-Form Intensive that explores three distinct and rewarding formats. The One Act Tag — perfect for rich character work and storytelling. The Lotus — a beautifully structured form for exploring theme and resonance. And The Armando Diaz Experience — a classic framework for weaving personal storytelling into ensemble play.
This workshop will stretch your narrative muscles, deepen your ensemble awareness, and sharpen your sense of structure. You’ll come away with new techniques for editing, storytelling, transitioning—and a stronger understanding of how to build long-form that feels both grounded and unforgettable.
